What is the Email Domain Analyzer?

The Email Domain Analyzer is a free, all-in-one domain research and reputation tool designed for email marketers, developers, IT administrators, and security professionals. Enter any domain name or email address and get an instant, comprehensive breakdown of that domain's:

WHOIS / Registration Data

Registrar details, registration date, expiry date, domain age, and RDAP status flags — sourced live from RDAP.org.

Email Authentication

SPF and DMARC record analysis — showing whether the domain is properly protected against email spoofing and phishing attacks.

DNS + IP Geolocation

Full DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME) plus IP Geolocation data — city, country, hosting provider and ASN number.

How the Domain Health Score Works

Our scoring system assigns points across 7 key categories to produce a score from 0–100 and a letter grade (A through F):

CategoryMax PointsWhat We Check
MX Records20At least one valid mail server configured
SPF Record20Present + strictness (-all = 20, ~all = 15, ?all = 10)
DMARC Record20Present + policy (reject = 20, quarantine = 15, none = 10)
SSL Certificate20Valid + days remaining (>30d = 20, >7d = 10, <7d = 5)
DNS A Record10Domain resolves to at least one IP address
NS Records5Domain has proper nameservers configured
Domain Age5Domain older than 1 year (established, higher trust)

Grade A = 90–100 | B = 75–89 | C = 60–74 | D = 45–59 | F = 0–44

Frequently Asked Questions

A standard WHOIS lookup only shows registration data. Our Email Domain Analyzer combines RDAP registration data, live DNS record inspection, SPF/DMARC authentication checking, SSL certificate validation, IP geolocation, mail provider detection, and an overall health score — all in a single, easy-to-read report.

Some country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs like .de, .uk, .ru, .jp) use proprietary WHOIS servers that do not expose data via RDAP. Additionally, domains using WHOIS privacy protection will show redacted registrant details. In these cases, DNS records and health scoring still work normally.

A low health score typically means missing email authentication records (SPF/DMARC), no SSL certificate, or a very new domain — all of which reduce email deliverability and increase the chance of landing in spam. Gmail and other major providers penalize domains without SPF and DMARC. A score below 60 (grade D or F) warrants immediate attention.

Enter the domain and look for: (1) MX records present — the domain can receive email; (2) SPF and DMARC records — the domain has anti-spoofing protection (meaning it's a legitimate, managed domain); (3) domain age > 1 year — a long-standing domain indicates lower spam risk. Free email providers (gmail.com, yahoo.com) will always show good scores here.
